AI Principles
BioStackHQ seeks to develop and use artificial intelligence responsibly, with consideration for transparency, accountability and human oversight.
This Policy applies to the evaluation, development, procurement, deployment and use of artificial-intelligence systems by or for BioStack HQ, including generative, analytical, automated-decision and third-party AI capabilities.
The responsible owner shall maintain proportionate procedures, records and review arrangements to give effect to this provision. Any exception requires appropriate authority, documentation and, where the risk warrants it, consultation with the Office of Legal & Governance or another competent control function.
AI uses must be proportionate to their impact and subject to documented human accountability, testing, security, privacy and data-governance assessment. High-risk, unlawful, deceptive or inadequately controlled uses may be restricted, paused or prohibited.

Implementation is risk-based and may differ according to the sensitivity of the activity, the systems involved, the scale of potential harm and the operational context. Control effectiveness is reviewed periodically and following material change, identified weakness or incident.
AI uses must be proportionate to their impact and subject to documented human accountability, testing, security, privacy and data-governance assessment. High-risk, unlawful, deceptive or inadequately controlled uses may be restricted, paused or prohibited.
